Costs & budgeting

Use the current international course fee from the provider: there is no single tuition price for Australia. Add accommodation, food, transport, utilities, course materials, health cover and travel. Study Australia explains that living costs vary by location and lifestyle and can exceed visa funding minimums. Check the calculator’s data dates and current rent and prices before budgeting.

Intakes & timing

Many higher-education courses start in February/March, with mid-year entry on selected courses. Some providers use trimesters or other calendars. Check both the course start date and the international application deadline.

Entry requirements

Confirm academic prerequisites and the English evidence accepted for your course. A pathway or foundation course may be relevant where direct entry is unavailable. Check the provider’s published requirements rather than assuming one score applies nationally.

Scholarships & funding

Look for university scholarships and Australian Government funding relevant to your nationality and study level. Research Training Program support is for eligible research degrees, not a general scholarship for every taught course.
